    GALEN BEEM Obituary

    GALEN BEEM Galen Keith Beem, born Feb. 19, 1951, in Independence, MO, to Dorothy (Ryan) and the late James Beem, passed away at age 66 on January 23, 2018, in Bradenton, FL. He graduated from William Chrisman High School. He was in the Roofers Local 20 until retiring in 2009. He served as Organizer and Business Manager. Galen was the loving husband of Nancy (Evans). He is survived by his sons, John Sheaffer and Mike Sheaffer (Dawn); daughter Shelly Longley (Jeff); brother, James Beem (Beverly); sisters, Kathy Corbett (Jack) and Colleen Fairbanks; grandchildren, Shandra, Neva, Halie, Shane, Zaelia, Whitney, and Tanner; and many nieces and nephews. Those that wish to donate can do so in Galen's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Friends and family are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life service from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Sheet Metal Workers Local #2 Union Hall, 2902 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64129. Please come and share your happy memories and funny stories. Private interment at Mount Grove Cemetery on March 12.
