Thomas Steven “Tom” Mundy, 72, of Burlingame, has “gone fishing” to join his dad at Heaven’s creek bank on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

He was born October 9, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Thomas William and Anna Belle (Nicolay) Mundy. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany.

Tom was employed by Vincent Roofing Company, Topeka, retiring in 2001.

He was a member of Roofer Local Union No. 20B.

Tom married Jacqueline "Jackie" Ellen Mundy on August 23, 1969 in Topeka, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include four children, Thomas Alexander Mundy, Topeka, William A. (Katherine) Mundy, Eskridge, Samantha Ann Mundy (Christopher Boner), Burlingame and Melissa Annette (Mark) DePriest, Topeka; 14 grandchildren, Sabastian, Thomas, River, Meranda, Tara, Phoenix, Gwenyth, Markus, Mason, William, Lucy, Holden, Grace, Charlize; four great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Sharon Haag, VA, Randall (Karen) Mundy, UT, Daniel (Audrey) Mundy, Topeka and Janna (Martin) Little, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, William Mundy, Karen Mundy, Anna Fern Howland.

Tom enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, playing baseball, watching NASCAR, and other sports, especially KU basketball.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A memorial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. Military honors will follow at Burlingame Cemetery.
